St. Patrick's Day Edition

This is the picture which came up over the holidays.  This is like the most incredible row of people from the past (present too) in one row.  It is Bannockburn school (best known now for having Michael Jordan's kids there and the place some of us were lucky enough to go to K-8).

This is from left to right: Billeter, Mom, the General, Grandma Kennedy, Gramps and Tyra.

Okay, so you don't know all these people ?

Billeter: Keith is his name, this is mom's on again off again boyfriend over many years

Mom: Barbara Malm, this is Kevin, Blacky and Kimberly's (KB&K) mother

the General: Barbara Toth, this is Mom's grandmother who raised her, probably best known for breaking out of nursing homes and attacking Kevin with a weeder on her way up and down the stairs @ 1240 Valley when she decided she was leaving, never mind that she was leaving because she couldn't get in and out of the bed set up for her but man she could go up and down those stairs swinging that weeder.  And yes, this was the basement which filled to the brim one rainy summer day).

Grandma Kennedy: Edythe Kennedy, this is Mom's mother who didn't raise her, from Georgia

Gramps: Melville Malm, this is father's father and most all the Malm children's grandfather (check out that suit?)

Tyra: Tyra Malm, this is father's (w/respect to KB&K) second wife and TT&T's (Tan, Trys and Tamarama) mom.

And I believe that is Mrs. Brotzman in the next row.  I know no one cares but it is amazing that I remember who she is.  Squinted real hard to see if I can make out anyone else with no luck, KIm ?

There are more different marital relations in this row than I believe you will ever see in one place let alone caught on film. I have to figure father took the picture ?  Had to be a school concert of some sort. Back of the picture says 1978.

Now, we knew Gramps fashion sense was unique but this tops the suit above ;-)

Kodak says Mar 1969.

Kim says "I would just die to beat Gramps to that purse to go with my beautiful party dress".

Kodak says Aug 1970.

So here's a birthday bash we ran across.  Tana's excited and ain't Tam' the cutest little kid again two months running on MEC ? I don't remember her being this little ? ;-)

Trys' says, hurry up and get me outta here.

Do you remember, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da...Batman ?

Nice hair cut eh ? and do you remember the fella who is face down on the couch ?

And to continue the trend started last time around, we need at least one random =^..^= pic each month.

 She was here for the last few months while her mom (Renee) was in the hospital  They are both home now J

By popular demand no less, we're back !!! 

After a few little detours and the holidays, we have returned for your (our) entertainment.  Around the holiday I was searching for Christmas pictures for MEC.  This  was not as easy as I expected.  We needed Tamarama pictures too.  So without further adieu, its Christmas in February.

Ain't this just the cutest little kid you've ever seen ?  She's a little bigger now but we still remember when she was a little bit.

Wow, look at this cool stuff !!

And what did Santa bring Tana ? 

Must not have been good.  How do they say ? a face only a mother could love.

Kim looks like Santa was good to her.

Come on Tam, give us a smile for the camera, pleeeeeaaaaseee.

OK, so all the feedback to date on MEC has been positive.  

Recently this changed L

The intent here is fun.  Old pictures are a healthy part of everyone's life.  So, please laugh at me, you and whomever ends up here. I have pictures of most all of you (Malm's and otherwise). If you have good ones of me and others, pass them along.  If you are going to dish it out, you have to be able to take it J.

The Malm part is not a hard and fast rule, similar to 6 degrees of separation.  If we can somehow, someway link it to family in one way or another, you're in.

So, here comes the disclaimer.....Asking permission of each of you for each pic I post here is going to grind this to a halt.  Half the fun is the surprise of seeing an old picture again.  Should any of you pictured here prefer not to be pictured here, please email me and I will be happy to accommodate.  Should you be concerned that you might show up here and don't wish for this to happen, email me sooner rather than later.

If you haven't figured it out by now, one has chosen this option.  

I always wondered what it is like to have to blurrrr stuff out on Aerosmith videos or Howard's E show.  Just imagine what a job it must be if you have to do each frame by hand.

 Why the grainy picture you say ?  Well when you look at the full size picture here you see things you have long forgotten or have heard about from someone who lived here repeatedly but never got  the pleasure of seeing.  

Also, at the top you can see that there were these other windows at the top which are above the brown wood which concealed fluorescent lighting which went all around the room.  Fluorescent ? hmm....seems to me there was a dimmer on these which is right behind Kim's shoulder on her premiere appearance at the bottom.  I doubt fluorescents had a dimmer, maybe this is why I don't remember the dimmer working very well.  Hmmmm.........

Also notice the clothesline in the backyard, this will help you a little farther down.

It is just barely peaking out from the bottom, just to the left of Kevin's knee.

There previously was someone sitting here (see disclaimer above).

The good looking guy in the middle is (still) Laddie.  We do have a release from Laddie ;-)

The gentleman in black opted out of the program.
